Demps joined Triangle in 2014 and brought a wealth of volleyball coaching and playing experience. She excelled as a middle blocker for the University of Arizona, earning All-PAC10 honors, and then went on to play in the United States Professional League from 1999-2000. As a middle blocker on the U.S. Dream Team she helped the team win the 2000 Millennium Cup. Demps began her coaching career with the University of Nevada and the St. Louis Quest professional team before moving on to Boise State. After serving as the assistant coach at Boise State for three years, Demps and her family moved to Raleigh when Demps became the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at NC State.  

During her time at NC State and afteward, Demps coached club volleyball for NC Challengers and Club Red. While at Club Red she coached 14 Red and served as the assistant director and parent liaison.
