Harris, Triangle Class of 2011, graduated from Elon University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in finance and currently works as a systems analyst for Fidelity Investments. As a four-year middle blocker for the Elon Phoenix, Harris earned NCCSIA All-State Second Team honors numerous years. She was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team as well as SoCon Academic All-Conference numerous years. 

Harris was a standout for Apex High School, helping lead the team to the NCHSAA 4A State Championship in 2010. During the 2010 high school season she was named state championship MVP, Tri-9 Conference Player of the Year, and Gatorade North Carolina Volleyball Player of the Year.

Harris was a middle blocker for five seasons at Triangle and helped two of her teams earn Open bids to USAV Junior Nationals. In 2008 Harris was a part of the first 15s team in North Carolina to qualify in Open for USAV Junior Nationals. In 2011 Harris helped 18 Black to qualify in Open again by finishing in third place at the Big South Qualifier and going on to finish 13th at USAV Junior Nationals – the highest finish in the Open Division of any North Carolina team in history.

Harris has served as the assistant coach of 13 Black and, more recently, as the assistant coach of 16 Blue in 2017, which was the first 16 Blue team in Triangle history to earn a bid at a national qualifier and eventually finished T-5 in the USA Division at USAV Junior Nationals.
