McManus, originally from Raleigh, brings considerable club coaching experience to Triangle. She played as a setter/opposite in both club and high school at Garner Senior High School. She earned all-conference honors during her junior and senior season and was named conference player of the year her senior year. As a club player she helped her team win a Carolina Region championship and earn a bid to USAV Junior Nationals. She attended St. Andrews Presbyterian College where she was a four-year starting right side player. Her team earned a berth in the NCAA tournament in 2004 and McManus was honored her senior year with the prestigious Knights Award for exceptional leadership skills. McManus graduated from St. Andrews in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
McManus began coaching during her junior year of college at a small club in Scotland County. After returning to the Raleigh area McManus began coaching at CCVC until it dissolved in 2009. McManus then joined NC Elite’s coaching staff where she served as both a head and assistant coach for numerous teams in the 14s through 18s age groups. McManus also has coached on the prep scene, serving one year as the JV head coach at Broughton High School in Raleigh. McManus currently resides in Knightdale and works for Guidant Group.
