Tania Stafford

Stafford joined Triangle in 2013. Her many years of coaching experience include club, high school and collegiate levels.

Stafford moved to North Carolina in 2000 and began coaching at Western Wake Volleyball Club. She became the club director in 2003. In 2008 she joined the coaching staff at Wake Tech Community College as an assistant coach. From 2009 to 2011 Stafford served as the head coach at Durham Academy. Stafford then served as head coach at Raleigh Charter High School and in 2013 led them to the 1A NCHSAA state championship match. At Triangle she has served as a head and assistant coach in the 14s-16s age groups.

Originally from Rochester, New York, Stafford played middle blocker in high school and at Monroe Community College. Her passion for volleyball continued as an adult indoor and outdoor player in the New York Outdoor Volleyball Association (NOVA) and club volleyball at Western Empire Volleyball Association (WEVA). Stafford remains an avid indoor and outdoor player and lives in Apex with her husband and their two boys. She is an independent professional photographer and teaches equitation at her family-owned horse farm.
