Michelle Fadool ’10

Director, Health Performance and Injury Prevention, PT, DPT

Since joining the Triangle staff in 2011, Fadool has served in a variety of coaching roles, including student-athlete apprentice coach, assistant coach, and national team head coach in the 13–17s age groups. The 2025–2026 season marks her fourth year leading Triangle’s 14 Black team. Last season she led 14 Black to earn an at-large Open bid to USAV Junior Nationals where they finished 32nd nationally.

Additionally, Fadool leads the development and delivery of Triangle’s Power Tech courses, a proprietary attacking curriculum designed to maximize power while reducing stress and injury risk to the shoulder and lower back. She also serves as Triangle’s Middle Blocker Coordinator, overseeing the design and implementation of the club’s specialized positional training program.

In 2022, Fadool was recognized as one of only 100 youth sports coaches nationwide to receive the 2022 Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Double-Goal Coach® Award.

As Triangle’s Director of Health Performance & Injury Prevention, Fadool oversees all injury prevention initiatives and the integration of off-court services supporting the comprehensive care of Triangle athletes. These include nutrition and hydration education, mental performance training, and strength, conditioning, and explosiveness training. She also manages athlete return-to-play protocols and coordinates communication among coaches, athletes, parents, and the performance staff.

Fadool is a licensed physical therapist and operates Triangle’s on-site PT clinic. She specializes in sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, and return-to-sport integration for Triangle athletes, staff, and families. As an FMS™ Level 1 & 2 Certified screener, she also organizes and oversees Triangle athletes annual FMS™ evaluations and related initiatives—an essential tool in assessing athlete mobility, stability, and functional movement.

A former Triangle athlete herself, Fadool played five years with the club as a middle blocker and opposite hitter. In her senior year, she was a member of the 18 Black team that “double-qualified” for USAV Junior Nationals in the Open Division. She also helped Cardinal Gibbons High School capture two state championships (2007, 2009) and earned all-conference honors her junior and senior years. As a junior, she received Triangle’s prestigious Board Award for exemplifying the club’s core values.

Fadool was a redshirt freshman at Wingate University before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned dual degrees in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology in 2014. She later earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Elon University in 2019 and has been part of the Trinity Wellness Center team since 2020.
