Wasielewski (Waz) joins Triangle with over 34 years of collegiate coaching experience. Most recently he spent 6 seasons as the Assistant Coach of Virginia Tech’s Women’s volleyball program. Prior to VT, Waz worked with Duke University’s Women’s Volleyball program as the Associate Head Coach (2003 through 2017) and Assistant Coach (1999-2002). Over his career he has trained Division I athletes achieving All-ACC recognition as well as AVCA All-American honorees. His extensive coaching career has allowed Waz to gain a wealth of experience in all aspects of coaching including training, match preparation, game management, scouting, athlete recruitment and overall program management.
Waz played collegiately for perennial powerhouse Penn State Nittany Lions (1986-1990) were he served as captain for two seasons. He helped his team to two berths in the NCAA Men’s DI Final Four.
