Colby Rosser

Senior Director

Rosser rejoins Triangle as a Senior Director after an accomplished career spanning collegiate, club, and high school volleyball, bringing nearly two decades of coaching, leadership, and operational experience to Triangle’s executive team

A former Triangle coach and Assistant Director, Rosser served with the club from 2013 to 2020, coaching primarily in the 15s and 17s age groups while also helping to support the club’s continued growth and operations. She led numerous nationally competitive teams, including her final two seasons as Head Coach of Triangle 15 Black. Her leadership and effectiveness earned her Triangle’s Sam Casey Caram Excellence in Coaching Award in 2019. In 2018, Rosser joined Triangle’s administrative team, expanding her responsibilities beyond coaching to include club administration, staff leadership, and program development. She served Triangle’s mission until relocating her family to the Wilmington area in 2020.

Most recently, Rosser served as Indoor Club Director at East Coast Volleyball Academy (ECVA) and Head Volleyball Coach at Cape Fear Community College (CFCC). At ECVA, she coached the club’s top teams in the 15s through 17s age groups while overseeing much of the organization’s daily operations and strategic growth. At CFCC, Rosser guided the Sea Devils to back-to-back NJCAA National Tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022. In recognition of her success, she was named the 2021 Region 10 Coach of the Year and the 2022 Southeast District B Coach of the Year. Under her leadership, the program achieved its highest-ever preseason national ranking and established itself as one of the premier junior college programs in the region.

Prior to CFCC, Rosser served as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach and Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach at the University of Mount Olive, her alma mater, after leading Louisburg College to its first winning seasons and highest regional finish in several years. Earlier in her career, she earned two Conference Coach of the Year honors while leading Southern Wayne High School to three consecutive state tournament appearances.

As a player, Rosser is one of the most decorated student-athletes in University of Mount Olive volleyball history. A four-year starting middle blocker and three-time all-conference selection, she helped lead the Trojans to the program’s first two NCAA Tournament appearances. She remains Mount Olive’s all-time career blocks leader with 744 blocks, holds the single-season blocks record with 237, and still ranks among the most accomplished players in NCAA Division II history. In recognition of her outstanding collegiate career, she was inducted into the University of Mount Olive Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.

Rosser and her husband Brandon and daughter, Payson, are moving to the area in mid-July.
