Jackie Walejko

 

Walejko, a Madison, Wisconsin native, played prep volleyball at Belleville High School, where she was a right-side attacker and four-time First-Team All-Conference selection. She helped lead the Wildcats to four regional championship appearances and competed for Capital Volleyball Academy in Madison.

While attending the University of Wisconsin, Walejko played collegiate club volleyball under Jake Barreau. She helped her team capture the 2012 National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Club Volleyball Championship and continues to compete in both indoor and grass tournaments.

Walejko began her coaching career running camps and clinics in Wisconsin. Most recently, she served on the UNC summer camp staff and launched her prep coaching career during North Carolina’s inaugural boys’ high school volleyball season. At The Math and Science Academy of Apex (TMSA), she guided the boys’ team to a runner-up finish in the regional tournament and an eighth-place finish at the state championship.

Walejko graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2013 with a B.S. in Pharmacology and Toxicology, later earning her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Florida. She is currently a research scientist at Domus Diagnostics.
