Woods is originally from Jupiter, Florida and comes from a volleyball family. Her father began a club, Florida Premier Volleyball Academy [FPVA], and her sister Savannah went on to play for the Wolfpack at NC State. Woods, a setter, played for Jupiter Community High School where she led her team to two state championship finals. Her 15s season with FPVA her team qualified USA for USAV Nationals and finished 7th overall. Woods also played club for both national renown Tribe Volleyball and Palm Beach Juniors. She led her teams to two additional qualifications (Tribe 17s, National, 2016 and Palm Beach Jrs. 17s, USA, 2017) and was named to the 2016 AVCA Phenom Watch List.
Woods realized her dream of attending University of Florida and pursuing a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, opting to play volleyball recreationally. She graduated in 2023 and is currently working for ABB Engineering in Cary.
