Shepard brings extensive coaching experience at both the high school and club levels to Triangle. As a defensive specialist/libero, she competed for Club Red, NC Academy, and Raleigh VBC during her high school years, and helped her homeschool varsity team capture the NC Home Education Conference Championship.
She played one season at Wake Technical Community College, earning the Athletic Academic Performance Award for excellence on and off the court, before being recruited to UNC Wilmington. Unfortunately, injuries ended her collegiate playing career.
Shepard began coaching immediately after high school, leading the JV team at Grace Christian School for five seasons. She also coached club teams with Fuquay Revolution and CHAVC (16 Purple).
A graduate of NC State University, Shepard holds dual degrees in Criminology and Psychology. She currently serves as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
