Bethel (Grubbs) played for Triangle from 12U to 16U and was a member of Triangle’s first competitive beach team. She was a four-year varsity athlete at Cary Christian School, earning both All-State and All-Conference honors.
She attended NC State University, where she played club volleyball all four years and later competed at Adult Nationals in 2021. While at NC State, Bethel spent three years coaching at Cary Christian in various roles, including Middle School Head Coach, High School Varsity Assistant Coach, and Co-Head Varsity Coach.
Bethel graduated from NC State in May 2020 with a B.A. in Business Administration, a minor in Leadership and Sociology, and the Poole Leadership Certification. Bethel currently works at Cisco and lives in Raleigh with her husband, Jonathan.
