Boys 18 Black selected for AAU 18 Open division

Apr 13, 2026

It is with great excitement that we share that Boys 18 Black has been officially selected to compete in the Open Division at the AAU Junior National Championships this July. This prestigious division represents the highest level of competition at the event, featuring many of the top teams from across the country and is hand-picked by a committee comprised of boys’ volleyball professionals.

Earning a spot in the Open Division is a significant accomplishment and a testament to the hard work and dedication demonstrated not only throughout this season, but over many years of development.

Boys 18 Black has consistently competed at an elite level, and this selection reflects both their sustained performance and continued readiness for the national stage. The team currently holds the No. 2 ranking in the nation in the AES Power Rankings and boasts an impressive 47–7 overall record. Their season includes four (4) tournament championships and no finish lower than fifth place across a demanding national schedule, with events spanning Arizona, Louisville, Chicago, and Pittsburgh (5th, 3rd, 5th and 5th respectively). Notably, Boys 18 Black is the only boys’ team from the Carolinas selected to compete in any Open Division at AAU Nationals.

We are incredibly proud of this team and look forward to watching them represent our program against the nation’s best this July.
