Pullen is originally from Detroit, Michigan, and played four years of collegiate volleyball at Virginia State University, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and a minor in Health Sciences. A versatile athlete, she competed as an outside hitter, right side, and middle blocker throughout high school and collegiate careers.
Pullen began her coaching career in 2017 with perennial powerhouse Michigan Elite, where she coached 13–16U teams over seven seasons. She most recently also served as an assistant coach at Schoolcraft College from 2021–2024. Pullen is also a USAV certified official.
Pullen now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, and works as an Auxiliary Programs Assistant at the Montessori School of Raleigh.
