Sell is originally from Glen Allen, Virginia and grew up in a volleyball family. She was a prep standout at Deep Run High School playing for four seasons on the varsity Wildcats and earning All conference honors for three years and team MVP in 2019. She played club at Richmond Volleyball Club (RVC) for her 11s-17s seasons and finished her senior season at Old Dominion Volleyball Academy (ODVA).
She was recruited as a setter to Western New England University (DIII) located in Springfield, Massachusetts. Over her career with the Golden Bears, Sell amassed 1252 assists. She graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Sell began coaching at RVC in their youth programs. She also worked with the JV team at her high school alma mater.
Sell relocated to the Raleigh area to work for Black and Veatch in Cary.
