Kylie Freeman

Freeman, originally from Coppell, Texas, played club volleyball with Texas Advantage Volleyball Club (TAV). At Coppell High School, she was a two-sport athlete in volleyball and tennis, earning the “Fighting Heart” award all four years.

She was recruited to Concordia University Irvine (CUI, CA) by three-time Olympian Coach Paula Weishoff, competing as a middle blocker and opposite. Freeman was a four-time Academic All-PacWest honoree and also played one season with CUI’s beach volleyball team. Freeman graduated in 2020 with a Business Administration degree, emphasis in marketing and a minor in psychology.

Freeman began coaching while still a student-athlete, apprenticing with a TAV girls’ 14s team. At CUI, she served as head coach for the nationally recognized Balboa Bay Volleyball Club boys’ 13s program and later coached girls’ 16s at Orange County VBC. Before moving to North Carolina, she coached at Oklahoma Peak Performance and operated her own business, Palm Studio (2020–2024), providing social media management and website design services to other entrepreneurs.

Since joining in 2023, Freeman has served as a resource coach across all age groups, assisted in the boys’ program, and head coached girls 16 Blue. In 2024, she joined Triangle’s administrative team, overseeing athlete and coach compliance, managing Carolina Region tournaments, and creating engaging social media content for the club.

Freeman lives in Apex, North Carolina, with her husband, Shawn.

SIGNIFICANT COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • 2025 Triangle 16 Blue – 1st place finish JVA Charm City Baltimore, Top 3 finish Capitol Hill Classic in 16 Open division.
