Blum, a Raleigh native, is a graduate of Green Hope High School, where she was a member of the volleyball team. She began her collegiate career at NC State University, competing on the rowing team for three years and earning a top-10 national ranking each season. After transferring, she graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, concentrating in Health and Wellness.
Blum has held head coaching roles at both The Montessori School of Raleigh and Millbrook High School, in addition to her many roles at Triangle. She has worked with teams across several age groups, primarily focusing on 13U and 14U in both head and assistant coaching capacities. In 2021, she led Triangle’s 16U Boys team to the program’s first-ever bid to USAV Nationals. She also serves as a lead clinician for numerous camps and clinics and partners with the Town of Wake Forest Parks and Recreation Department to help facilitate their summer volleyball league.
A passionate advocate for service, Blum was honored in 2018 with the Mary Beth Finegan Service Award for her volunteer work with the Veteran Sitting Volleyball Team and Gigi’s Playhouse. She currently lives in Raleigh with her husband, Greg, and their daughters, Adalynn and Emery.
