Coach Jenna receives 2014 John Freehaler Sports Volunteer of the Year
The Evening of Champions is hosted annually by the Greater Raleigh Sports Council to celebrate the Triangle’s professional and amateur teams, athletes, special events, and fans. Jenna Hinton, Assistant Director and Head Coach of Triangle 14 Black was selected to receive the John Freehaler Sports Volunteer of the Year award. Hinton was recognized for her service to youth and, in particular, the disabled population. Over the last several years Hinton has spearheaded Triangle’s partnership with Bridge II Sports to promote and offer sitting volleyball [a paralympic sport], create a adaptive sport chair for disabled, and assisted with the hosting of the Southeast Valor Games.
