Staff Member Since:

Harris joined Triangle in 2013 and has an extensive sports background. He played tennis while at The Citadel and began their club volleyball team during his senior year. After college he played in numerous adult volleyball leagues.

Harris began his teaching career in Florida and, in 2005, moved to Raleigh with his wife and two daughters, both of whom play volleyball. He is the varsity volleyball head coach at Rolesville High School and teaches 9th grade math. He has also coached high school sand volleyball, middle school volleyball, and softball. Harris loves the challenge that volleyball provides and, as an educator, loves the teaching and learning coaching requires.

At Triangle, Harris has been the head coach of 14 Steel since it started in 2014, and his teams have experienced much success in the Carolina Region. In 2016 Harris led 14 Steel to a fifth-place finish at the Capitol Hill Classic. He has also served as a resource coach. In the 2018 season, Harris was the head coach for 14 Silver. He has also worked with the Wake Forest Parks and Recreation volleyball league which has seen exponential growth in the past 4 years.
