Brooks Gillerlain

Gillerlain joins Triangle in 2019 after a standout career at Randolph College as their starting setter. She was named the Randolph College Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year in 2015, and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2016. She finished her career with 2,454 assists to stand third in the career record books, while her 874 career digs rank 10th in school history. While at Randolph College, she was a volunteer coach at Randolph College Summer Volleyball Camps and Clinics and at the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Summer Camps and Clinics. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Exercise and Sport Studies with a minor in Business.

Gillerlain was first introduced to volleyball at 12 years old, where she fell in love with it at intramurals. She posted a distinguished prep career at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, where she was a two-year starting setter. She helped lead her team to two conference championships (2013 and 2014) and two state championships (2013 and 2014). She was named the Duke Automotive Fall Female Player of the Year as a senior, and was named First-Team All-State as a junior and senior.

After she graduated from college, Gillerlain coached for two years at Heart of Virginia Volleyball Club for their 15 Regional and 17 Regional team. Gillerlain is now enrolled at UNC in the Master of Public Health program to become a Registered Dietician. She aspires to become a Sports Dietician at the collegiate or professional level.
