Leah Meyer

Leah Meyer, originally from Buffalo, N.Y., is a current student-athlete at Duke University majoring in evolutionary anthropology with a certificate in markets and management studies. On the court, Meyer is a middle blocker for the Blue Devils and heading into her redshirt junior year she has already amassed a number of awards. Thus far in her career, Leah has been named to the All-ACC Freshman team, received First Team All-ACC honors as a sophomore, has been voted Preseason All-ACC twice, has appeared on the ACC Academic Honor Roll twice, and been tabbed AVCA All-East Coast Region.

At the high school level she was a four-year letter winner at St. Mary’s of Lancaster in Lancaster, N.Y. and led her team to a state championship 3 of her 4 years as a varsity athlete. During her time in high school she earned an impressive listing of accolades including three-time high school All-American honors, being a 2014 MaxPreps All-America selection, and she was named 2014 New York Gatorade Player of the year. On the club side, Leah played for Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club where she helped her team to a gold medal at the Northeast Qualifier in the Open Division. She also helped lead the USA Girls Youth Continental Team to gold medal at High Performance Championships, earning tournament MVP honors.

Leah brings to Triangle her strong work ethic, a desire to help young men and women develop confidence, and a current knowledge of the academic and athletic demands facing student-athletes.
