Natalie is originally from upstate New York and landed in North Carolina when she entered nursing school at Duke University. Ziskin has played at the high school, club and Division I collegiate level. At Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School she made the varsity team in 8th grade, earning the starting setter position in 9th grade. Each season during her high school career her team advanced to the final four of the Class A State Championships, clinching the title her senior year. Ziskin earned Class A All-State Tournament honors her final three years in high school and she still holds the school record for career assists with 3539.

Ziskin played club volleyball at Lakeside Volleyball Club and was a Division I recruit at Iona College located in New Rochelle, NY. During her time at Iona Ziskin was twice named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and earned All-MAAC honors her sophomore season. Ziskin ranks second in all-time career assists at Iona College.

Ziskin has coached at numerous summer camps since high school including the USA IREVA Regional High Performance Volleyball Camp. She has also been a regular volunteer coach at her former club program.

Ziskin graduated from Iona in 2016 with a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology. She graduated Duke University School of Nursing in 2017 and currently works as a neonatal ICU nurse at Duke University Hospital.
