Triangle 15 Black arrived in Philadelphia on March 19th with a clear objective: secure a 15 Open bid to the USAV Girls Junior National Championship at the Northeast Qualifier.
Triangle powered through the first two days undefeated, highlighted by an impressive win over previously qualified Gainesville Juniors—a team who spoiled Triangle’s bid run in Orlando at the Sunshine Classic Qualifier run at the beginning of March. A gritty three-set thriller saw Triangle persevere and earn the team a coveted top seed in one of four Gold pools.
To advance to the four-team Gold bracket—and lock in the bid—Triangle would need to get through Milwaukee Sting 15 Gold and Tribe 15 VKTRY Cardinal. The matchup with Sting was full of momentum swings but ultimately Triangle edged out a dramatic three-set victory (27–25, 10–25, 15–11). They followed it with a decisive win over Tribe, officially securing their place in the four-team Gold bracket and punching their ticket to USAV Junior Nationals.
With the bid in hand, Triangle wasn’t done. Next came perennial powerhouse Texas Advantage 15 Black Jason. Undeterred, Triangle won in straight sets to advance to the championship match against Austin Juniors 15 Adidas. Although 15 Black’s 9-0 run at NEQ was halted by AJV, Triangle 15 Black left Philadelphia with a second place finish at Northeast Qualifier—and with their spot secured in Indianapolis this coming July for the nation’s premier championship.
