First-ever North Carolina 14s team to earn this distinction
June 4, 2021: Once again Triangle makes Carolina Region history when 14 Black earns an “at-large” bid to USAV Junior Nationals held in Las Vegas June 26-29 – the first-ever earned by any North Carolina team in region history. With 6 wins against the Open field and two top 10 finishes at National Qualifiers (Sunshine and Big South) Triangle was a solid selection by USAV to help round out the 36 team 14 OPEN field at nationals. Triangle 14 Black has been ranked among the top 14s teams in the nation and are led by Coach Latacha De Oliveira, Nicole Willis and Grace Weghorst.With Triangle 14 Black’s Open qualification Triangle further solidifies its standing as the most nationally recognized and accomplished club in North Carolina. Triangle has unparalleled success with qualifying Open level teams (the highest division in the USAV Junior National Championship tournament).
