Talby Duerksen

 

Talby Duerksen is originally from the Midwest and earned her B.A. in Psychology from Oklahoma Christian University, where she was a member of the women’s volleyball program. 

Duerksen brings experience coaching across multiple levels. She most recently served as an Area Director with Volleyball Academy in Charlotte, where she recruited, hired, and mentored coaching staff and helped oversee program growth and operations. She previously coached with Carolina Union Volleyball Club and Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club, working with youth athletes and leading practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

In addition to volleyball, Duerksen has a background working with children and families, most recently serving as a Family Coordinator with North Carolina Behavior. She previously worked as a Children’s Case Manager with South Central Mental Health in Wichita, Kansas. She now resides in the Raleigh area and works remotely.
